This information is essential for the technical transmission of the web pages and for secure server operation. No personalised evaluation of this data is carried out.

Personal data

Personal data is data about your person. This includes your name, address and email address. You do not have to disclose any personal data in order to be able to visit our Internet site. In some cases, we need your name and address as well as further information in order to be able to offer you the requested service.

The same applies if we supply you with information material on request or if we answer your enquiries. In these cases, we will always point this out to you. Furthermore, we store only the data that you have sent to us either automatically or voluntarily.

If you use one of our services, we generally only collect the data that is necessary for us to be able to provide you with our service. We may ask you for further information, although this is only on a voluntary basis. Whenever we process personal data, we do so in order to be able to provide you with our service or to pursue our commercial objectives.

Automatically stored data

Server log files

The website provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called “server log files”, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Date and time of the request
  • Name of the requested file
  • Page from which the file was requested
  • Access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.)
  • Web browser and operating system used
  • Complete IP address of the requesting computer
  • Transferred data volume

This data is not combined with other data sources. Processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 (f) GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website.

This data is temporarily stored by us for reasons of technical security, in particular in order to prevent attempts to attack our web server. It is not possible for us to draw conclusions about specific individuals on the basis of this data. After seven days at the latest, the data is made anonymous by shortening the IP address at the domain level, so that it is no longer possible to establish a reference to the individual user. The data is also processed in anonymous form for statistical purposes; it is not compared with other data stocks or passed on to third parties, even in the form of extracts. Only within the context of our server statistics, which we publish every two years in our activity report, is the number of page views made known.

Cookies

When you visit our website, we may store information on your computer in the form of cookies. Many cookies contain a so-called cookie ID. A cookie ID is a unique identifier for the cookie. It consists of a string of characters which can be used to assign Internet pages and servers to the specific Internet browser in which the cookie was stored. This enables the Internet pages and servers visited to distinguish the individual browser of the person concerned from other Internet browsers that contain other cookies. A specific Internet browser can be recognized and identified by the unique cookie ID.

By using session cookies, the person responsible can provide users of this website with a user-friendly service that would not be possible without the setting of cookies. Without consent, we will only use technically necessary cookies on the legal basis of legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

We use personal cookies to improve our website or for marketing/advertising purposes only with your consent. On your first visit, you can voluntarily agree to the tracking or analysis via the cookie banner that appears. Your data may be passed on to partners or third parties. Only if you explicitly agree to this will these cookies be stored, the legal basis is then your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.

You can change your settings for the use of cookies here at any time:

Cookies are small text files that can be used by websites to make a user’s experience more efficient. The law states that we can store cookies on your device if they are strictly necessary for the operation of this site. For all other types of cookies we need your permission. This site uses different types of cookies. Some cookies are placed by third party services that appear on our pages. You can at any time change or withdraw your consent from the Cookie Declaration on our website. USE OF GOOGLE SERVICES

We use the following technologies of Google Ireland Ltd, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). The information automatically collected by Google technologies about your use of our website is usually transferred to a server of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA and stored there. There is no adequacy finding by the European Commission for the USA. Our cooperation is based on standard data protection clauses of the European Commission.

If your IP address is collected using Google technologies, it will be shortened by activating IP anonymization before being stored on Google’s servers. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server and shortened there. Unless otherwise specified for the individual technologies, data processing is based on an agreement concluded for the respective technology between jointly responsible parties in accordance with Art. 26 GDPR Further information on data processing by Google can be found in the data protection information of Google https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

GOOGLE TAG MANAGER

This website uses Google Tag Manager. The Tag Manager does not collect any personal information. The tool triggers other tags, which in turn may collect data. Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If disabled at the domain or cookie level, it will remain disabled for all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager. Google’s privacy policy regarding this tool can be found here: https://www.google.com/analytics/terms/tag-manager/

Google Analytics

For the purpose of website analysis, Google Analytics automatically collects and stores data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information as well as information on your use of our website), from which user profiles are created using pseudonyms. Cookies can be used for this purpose. Your IP address will not be merged with other data from Google. The data processing is based on an agreement on order processing by Google.

For the purpose of optimized marketing of our website we have activated the data release settings for “Google products and services”. This allows Google to access the data collected and processed by Google Analytics and then use it to improve Google services. The data release to Google within the scope of these data release settings is based on an additional agreement between responsible parties. We have no influence on the subsequent data processing by Google.

We also use the extension function of Google Analytics Google Optimize to create and conduct tests.

For web analysis, the extension function of Google Analytics Google Signals enables so-called “cross-device tracking”. If your internet-enabled devices are linked to your Google account and you have activated the “personalized advertising” setting in your Google account, Google can generate reports on your usage behavior (especially cross-device user numbers), even if you change your device. We do not process personal data in this respect; we only receive statistics based on Google Signals.

For web analysis and advertising purposes, the extension function of Google Analytics enables the so-called DoubleClick cookie to recognize your browser when visiting other websites. Google will use this information to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website use.

Facebook “Sign in with Facebook”

We use components of the provider Facebook.com on our site. Facebook is a service of Facebook Ireland Ltd 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook”).

We use the function “Facebook Connect”, which is offered by Facebook.

If you want to use this function, you will first be redirected to Facebook. There you will be asked to log in with your user name and password. Of course we do not take note of your login data. If you are already logged in to Facebook, this step will be skipped.

Afterwards, Facebook will tell you which data will be transmitted to us (public profile, friends list, email address and current place of residence). You confirm this with the “OK” button. With the transmitted data, we will create your customer account. Of course, we will not save your friends list. A permanent link between your customer account and your account on Facebook will not take place.

We will then send you a notification e-mail and ask you to confirm that you wish to receive our newsletter by clicking on a link contained in this e-mail. When you register for our newsletter, we will save your IP address and the date of registration. This storage is only used as evidence in the event that a third party misuses your e-mail address to register you for the newsletter without your knowledge or authorization. If you do not wish to receive newsletters from us at a later date, you can object to this at any time without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs according to the basic rates.

Security

We have taken technical and administrative security precautions to protect your personal data against loss, destruction, manipulation and unauthorised access. All of our employees and the service providers working for us are obliged to comply with the valid data protection laws.
